What is an escape room?
This is an interactive form of entertainment based on escape games created in Japan. A group of up to 8 players will be “locked” in a themed room with a series of problems to solve. Within 60 minutes you must work as a team to solve problems, find keys, and decipher codes that will help you achieve the ultimate goal of escaping the room.

This is a very old building with one small restroom. HOWEVER, access is through an escape room, which may be occupied when you arrive. So again, please have everyone use the restroom before arrival. Sorry for any inconvenience and Thank You in advance!!
Is there PARKING?
Your group are solely responsible for arriving on time at the reception desk for your scheduled time slot. If you are driving a car, truck, golf cart or flying saucer that requires extra time for you to hunt for street parking, please be sure to allot enough time to do so. Uber/Lyft is a good option if you are short on time… There is (very) limited street parking on Simonton Street for $4/hr, or there is a parking lot ($20 per day as of Summer 2023) two blocks north of our building, or if you have time to search there is free parking on surrounding streets east of Simonton if you can find them, from Elizabeth Street eastward, in spaces that do not say “Resident Permit Required”. KWRE is not responsible for any tickets/infractions associated with your vehicle, scooter, or bicycle.

Is there an AGE LIMIT?
Rooms are geared for ages six (6) and older but younger children may participate free of charge. Puzzles, riddles, clues and combinations require a mature level of reasoning skill. Ticketed children ages 16 and under will be admitted but MUST be accompanied by a paying adult (18+ years old) in the room to satisfy our General Liability Insurance requirements.

Will we have the room to ourselves?
All rooms booked with three (3) or more people are currently private. Groups of two (2) may be paired with another small group if we are fully booked otherwise for that day. If you are a group of two and would prefer a private room, please book and pay for three (3) people during checkout. Thank you

Can we pay separately?
Since all rooms are private, the booking site will only allow one credit card to be processed per time slot. But you may pay for other members of your group upon arrival. Just give us a quick call if possible to let us know. Thanks!

Are there any PHYSICAL RESTRICTIONS?
Some areas of each escape room may require climbing, crouching, reaching, or other physical requirements. Jail Break Havana groups must have at least one member who weighs under 225lbs. in order to participate in that room.

Is there WHEELCHAIR access?
There is a driveway next to the entrance and the entryway and common areas, as well as the main areas in all the escape rooms are wheelchair accessible. The secondary sub-rooms and restroom have steps or require climbing, crouching, reaching, or other physical requirements. All of the groups who have had someone in crutches or a wheelchair have said they had a great time, so we hope to see your group soon! Good Luck and Have Fun!

Are tickets refundable?
Sorry, all sales are final. However, you may reschedule your appointment with 24 hours notice. Cancellations within 24 hours of your time slot will be partially refunded, subject to 50% of booking penalty. No cancellations permitted and no refunds given within two hours of the time slot booked.

How many people can be in a room at a time?
Each room is designed for minimum two (2) and up to ten (10) participants. We can accommodate up to twelve (12) in Papa’s Study and Pirate Treasure Hunt for special events (birthdays, etc), but please call in advance to arrange larger group accommodations.

Can I take pictures or video?
What happens here should stay here (except stories of the fun you had). We don’t want anything to get out that could ruin the fun for someone else. Kind of like telling people the ending of a movie. We will take a picture of your group at the end of your visit and may post it to social media (holding either a winner or loser sign).

Do I need to bring anything?
Everything you need will be provided, but you may bring reading glasses or hearing aides as needed. No special shoes or attire are required.

What if we get stuck and need help figuring out the puzzles?
We will be monitoring your progress throughout the event using video cameras in the room. You will receive hints from our Game Master to help your progress. We want this to be a fun, exciting, and successful experience for everyone.

What is offered for corporate or team building exercises?
We LOVE to host corporate teams. These events can be booked for any size group! Please call (305) 916-5517 for assistance. Price breaks are: 11+ participants = 10% discount, 21+ (15%), & 50+ (20%). We provide a great team building experience!

What is FUNKEY CHARTERS?
FUNKEY CHARTERS is escape room adventures out on the waters of Key West !! It’s a four (4) hour tour for up to six (6) guests. The captain takes you on the adventure for about an hour and then you can snorkel, watch the sunset, or just relax and enjoy nature and your friends/family on a great day out. What is BRAIN RACE Key West?
BRAIN RACE Key West is a self-guided, outdoor walking escape challenge. Group of up to eight (8) people use their cell phones to solve puzzles along their mile-long adventure through the Old Town district of Key West. BRAIN RACE can be played during daylight hours according to the schedule listed on the website.
Once you sign up, a code will be emailed to you and when your group is ready, share the code with each player and off you go!
ULTIMATE ESCAPE EVENT - WHAT IS IT AND WHEN?
The ULTIMATE ESCAPE: KEY WEST is a once-annual event that takes place one day each year. The multi-hour event is an adventure race with puzzles and challenges in different locations outdoors and indoors throughout Key West.
Teams of four (4) people. All team members must attend a sailing briefing. The event includes hydro-biking, swimming, sailing, running, pub challenges, and puzzles. All participants must be over the age of 21. Please click the link below for more details and to register for the event.

One of the coolest things to do in Key West
